Empowering Graduates of All Backgrounds: Breaking Bias

In today’s society, the issue of bias in graduate education is a pressing concern that cannot be ignored. It not only hinders the progress of marginalized individuals but also perpetuates unfairness, inequity, and exclusion. It is high time we address this issue head-on and work towards empowering graduates of all backgrounds.

Bias in graduate education is a significant problem because it limits opportunities for individuals from marginalized communities. When biases are present in the admissions process, qualified candidates from underrepresented backgrounds may be overlooked or undervalued. This not only denies them the chance to pursue higher education but also perpetuates a cycle of inequality and limited upward mobility.
