What is our goal and motto?
Our Team and our Foundation aims to focus on ways our members can establish themselves professionally, hone their leadership skills and allow them to give back to the community. These members are surrounded by a large network, whether part of a chapter or reaching out to the vast amount of alumni we have, that is focused on helping them be the best they can be. By encouraging leadership, scholarship, prestige, community and personal excellence, we are making a difference for the individuals who will become the leaders and motivators of the future. Our Motto: The Honor Society motto of Strength and Honor was chosen to uniquely represent the attributes we value as an organization.
We wanted to choose something that exemplifies both the historical significance of what an honor society was, but also symbolizes what Honor Society should represent in today’s world. The Strength and Honor phrase is derived from the latin Virtūs et Honos. Virtūs directly translates to strength, courage, excellence and et Honos means “and Honor”. These words strongly signify what we hold to be a valuable part of character excellence in our members.

The terms “Strength” and “Honor” have deeply rooted meaning in historical text as having both a mutual respect for one another as well as trust amongst a group of peers. Strength has a physical component to it, but more importantly represents the strength of character a person has.
