Tiffany Vazant is an Honor Society Core Values Scholarship Recipient. As a student, mother and police officer, Tiffany exemplifies the spirit of Honor Society in her daily life and we’re proud to count her as a member. “I chose social work because I had a desire to help people and give back. That degree led me to an internship with the Arlington Police Department in their incredible Victim Assistance program. After one year there, I decided to apply for the Arlington Police Department as an officer. I believed I could help people and still be challenged while dealing with diverse situations. After 3.5 years at APD, I took some maternity time at home with my kids and continued my law enforcement career in January of 2016 at the Weatherford Police Department.

In fall of 2017, I decided to go back to graduate school in efforts to obtain my master’s degree in Public Administration. I believe this continual journey of education, experiences, and a love for learning will increase my competence as a leader and, as a by-product, my confidence as well. Juggling the duties of a full time mom, wife, student, and police officer hasn’t been easy but this scholarship will help minimize additional financial stressors, and I am very grateful. Thank you for supporting my journey!” #honorsociety#corevalues#scholarship#strengthandhonor
