I am a native Californian who began my career working at a CPA firm while I was in school completing my scholastic pursuits. I ultimately graduated with distinction as a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from California State University Northridge (CSUN). In addition, I have three additional Associate degrees in Accounting, Business, and Management.
In February 2019, I had the pleasure and distinction of being selected to be the Human Resources Manager at the United Water Conservation District which operates in Ventura County, California. Prior to joining United Water, I worked for two years at the Walt Disney Company running their Global Security Communications Center. It was the happiest place on Earth and I enjoyed the team comradery and what we accomplished in that short-time period. In addition, I was fortunate to have worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for twenty years. During my career at the FBI, I held several management and executive leadership positions while serving in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Field Offices respectively. I also hold the unique distinction of being the youngest FBI supervisor ever.
I am currently attending graduate school at the School of Management at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks as I am about midway through completing an Executive MBA position. In my studies, I have been focused on people management, leadership, and organizational development studies. My current studies are ultimately designed to hone my abilities and assistance to others by addressing contemporary challenges faced in managing people and working towards short and long-term goal attainment. This has been a passion for me and I have excelled in both my professional career as well as in my scholastic pursuits for over twenty years.
My unique blend of experience, composed demeanor, and pursuit of academic excellence has been the cornerstone of his life. I am so fortunate to have an amazing and supportive family with a beautiful twelve-year-old daughter and am married to my high school sweetheart. In my spare time, I love to hike, play and watch sports, and enjoy giving back to the community through charity.
As a student, everyone knows the financial commitment in getting any degree program completed and in particular the cost to complete an Executive MBA program is extremely costly both financially as well as in terms of time to properly pledge to learn throughout the program. This program is multi-disciplined where you learn so many nuanced subjects to enhance your ability to manage people effectively and make both strategic and tactical decisions in business.
This scholarship is a tremendous honor and will greatly benefit me in accomplishing both my short-term and long-term career objectives. This scholarship provides immediate aid to the financial side of the commitment, and has already enhanced my confidence that I am following the right path, and ultimately will allow me to continue my success. This will enable me to continue to give back to my community by helping others pursue their scholastic dreams through donations designed to benefit future scholarships in the future. The overall educational experience completing my MBA will be significantly enhanced by receiving this prestigious and illustrious scholarship award and I am humbled to have been selected to receive it.
