Megan Borel, Study Abroad Scholarship Recipient

Woman Holding Macbook

I am working on my PhD at UF in geosciences studying extensional tectonics in the western US.  I enjoy going on walks, reading at parks, and listening to podcasts. I am extremely grateful for the scholarship that I have been given because it will provide me with the funds needed to travel for my research. If there are any leftover funds after my research travels, I will be able to put it towards lab costs during this summer including dating minerals in rocks or preparing them to be analyzed under microscope, which would greatly further my research.
